LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday called upon disgruntled party leader Chaudhry Nisar to discuss concerning matters.
During the third meeting between the two PML-N leaders this week, Shehbaz and Nisar discussed issues ranging from the country’s current political situation, party politics and the upcoming general elections 2018.
Shehbaz also promised to clear Nisar’s doubts and reservations regarding the party and others matters, while he told the disgruntled leader that he holds a significant place in PML-N.
“We have to serve the public. The party initiated various development projects across the country and the journey must continue. But for that purpose, it is important that you (Nisar) bury the hatchet,” Shehbaz told Nisar during the meeting.
Earlier on Saturday, Chaudhry Nisar said that he has never requested and that he never will request PML-N for a ticket.
Responding to Maryam Nawaz’s statement over awarding him a ticket or not in the general elections 2018, Nisar said that he never has and never will request for a ticket.
“In my 35-year political career, I have never requested anyone to present me with a party ticket and I never will. I have faith in God and trust in the people of the constituency, who have been supporting me since 1985,” Nisar said.
