KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Farooq Sattar on Friday announced to hold a protest against K-Electric over persistent load-shedding across the city.
“We will hold a protest outside the press club against K-Electric on Saturday at 3 pm over persistent load-shedding,” Farooq Sattar announced while speaking to the media in Karachi.
Farooq also said that scores of people will join the protest against K-Electric over prolonged load-shedding and against the negligence of the water board which has caused problems for people of Karachi.
Taking jabs at the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) provincial government, Farooq Sattar said that the PPP has been governing the province for a decade, but the party has failed to produce “even a drop of water” in Karachi.
“Every year, the people of Karachi face worse energy crisis. They are deprived of their basic rights. The people of Baldia Town receive the supply of water every 3 months,” Farooq said.
